Join our Counselling Network
We are always interested in hearing from skilled counsellors and clinicians wishing to join our network of Chartered and Registered Psychologists, Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Critical Incident Debriefers. The following qualifications and criteria are required by WSM Counsellors:
- To have membership of either the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) or the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- To have a minimum of a Diploma in Counselling with 450 hours of supervised counselling experience
- Abide by the code of ethics of one of the above organisations
- Have a minimum of two years post qualifying experience as a counsellor
- Provide a supervisor reference verifying counsellor training and supervision rates
- Attend regular supervision - one hour supervision for every 15 hours of counselling
- Meet the BPS/BACP requirements for on-going professional development
- Have professional liability insurance of £250,000 - £1,000,000
